The reception staff member on my arrival was pleasant enough but I found the information provided was very limited which surprised me. The reception staff member on my my subsequent days and on my last day seem to bring more energy and enthusiasm. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast for the best part was as I would have expected. however it was a total shambles on the last day. There was no clean cutlery, glasses or cups. The coffee machine was full of grounds so you could not have any coffee drinks. Food items were not replenished quickly enough. The queues for cooked breakfast was long. I'm assuming this was the result of being short staffed. The young gentleman who was on duty was really good though and did his best but he couldn't do everything. There was no apology or anything from the staff on check out which I thought was very poor and not what I expect from a Hampton brand.

The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centres. Well-known for the M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it is a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city centre hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping centre, and just behind is Digbeth Coach Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Centre) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just opposite is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modelled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top football clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

We went to Birmingham to see Michael McIntyre at The Utilita Arena .We stayed overnight but would have liked an extra night .We visited The Kitty Cafe which was lovely ,there is an £8 charge per adult and a lesser charge for children to spend one hour in the cafe ,but this money goes towards the cats ,who are rescue cats looking for a new home .We loved the canal area ,which was popular with loads of pubs and restaurants. We had lovely Tapas in the Bullring at lunchtime .We eat at Bistro Pierre by the canal in the evening which was enjoyable .

Fair walk from Hotel to Arena and a bit confusing but it was a nice day luckily and happy lots of other people around late at night and canals lit up so felt safer. Lots of beggers unfortunately that made it a not so pleasant walk.

People are so friendly and the busy centre is vibrant and varied. The canals make a lovely walking route through the centre making everything easily accessible. We ate at Jimmy Spice, an all you can eat buffet, but the food was of much higher quality than I have experienced at other similar restaurants. We both had a great time!

I visited the gay scene and China Town mainly. I was made to feel very welcome. As a stranger on my own I soon got invited to chat to the locals especially when out for a night out. The Chinese food was great and the gay scene was amazing 👏 🤩.

Birmingham is an easy to navigate city.
Birmingham is an easy to navigate city. Very clean and friendly.
I went for a weekend event but arrived a day early and visited the Birmingham museum and gallery with my 10 year old girls which they enjoyed the culture.
We also stayed an extra day to check out the think tank science museum which kept them fully engaged all day as it was so hands on. The cafe was great too with different budget options for meals.
I hadn't realised Birmingham had so many places to visit nearby. We'll definitely be back for longer with a planned agenda to explore more in the area.
When you first get there it doesn't seem very quiet, but once you get the sliding door/window closed and the curtains closed and cuddle up in the very well positioned bed, the room is super quiet. This was our second stay this year, and it's amazing to see the construction taking place in Birmingham. We were right over the train station this time. We hadn't been sure we wanted to return, but the price was better than a lot of nearby more boring hotels so we tried it again and had a great experience.
Everything about the stay was great, apartment was lovely and clean and in a really good location.
I canceled a room at a local hotel to stay as it seemed much better value for less money and was not disappointed!
I had read some comments about the property being hard to find , so was quite surprised by how easy it was - upon booking i was sent a pdf containing all relevant information including pictures, this was really helpful and we found the apartment in no time.
The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent, 10mins drive to sea life and Lego discovery, 9minutes drive to the city centre and 10minutes drive to Birmingham wildlife conservation park. 16 minutes drive to Cadbury world.
The hotel doesn’t have a car park but there was a car park right behind it which was £6 per day. The room and the hotel was very clean
The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring Birmingham City Centre. The NCP car park just behind the hotel is a little pricey at £20 for 24 hours but it is ideal for anyone staying in the hotel as it is literally behind the hotel. We had the buffet breakfast and this was good value for money as it had everything you could think of for breakfast.
The Park Regis is a very nice hotel in a good location for Birmingham city centre. The decor is plush and up-to-date and the rooms are a good size with large beds. The staff on reception were very nice and checked us in relatively quickly and gave us rooms next to each other. All in all that is what I expect from a hotel of this calibre.
Property was right located in great place where near to City centre of Birmingham.
The receptionist was friendly, good customer service and the room keeper was doing their job well during my 3 night stay to keep my room in clean.
Thank to you all! I was enjoyable during my visit stayed.
Highly recommended Hotel…!
Hearty breakfast in a quiet and garden view setting, free and secure parking, clean beds, a Tesco store across the street, and of course the very reasonable price. We were just passing thru Birmingham on a road trip to the Lake District and the hotel more than meets the requirements of an overnight stay.
The hotel was really well located near Star City and travel links to Birmingham city centre.
The bed was really comfortable so you'll be in for a good night sleep.
The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day with the usual breakfast items and a range of hot and cold drinks.
This place is more like an American motel, like mini apartments rather than a traditional British hotel. Loads of free parking, great location, not far from the city centre. The staff are friendly, polite, laid back and friendly. I stay here every time I visit Birmingham with work.
I have stayed at the hotel several times over the years (old offices in Birmingham) and the location is central for access to and from Birmingham.
The rooms are basic and functional which is what I require and the value for city centre location is acceptable to the palatte.
The location of the hotel within the city centre of Birmingham makes it easy to find short ways to the hot spots and shopping locations.
The breakfast within the bar on the groundfloor was very gut, fast and friendly service.
Birmingham didn’t have trash pickup so bags of trash lined the streets, not the properties fault. Only steps up, narrow stairs up 3 flights. Room was updated and clean. Opened window was fine but when closed room was stuffy.
Good quality hotel at a reasonable cost.
Located in the university area within walking distance of University railway station.
Close to Birmingham city centre and with good transportation links.
Second visit of the year great host lovely locals who frequent the facility we enjoyed Birmingham in the summer staying at the Aston inn spent our days in the city and evening in the hotel Bar
Our favourite hotel when we make a social visit to Birmingham. Cosy and comfortable and close to all the amenities. Fab check in staff who are always on hand to help.
