Agra, the epitome of beauty and grandeur, encapsulates...
Agra, the epitome of beauty and grandeur, encapsulates centuries of history within its walls, and at its heart lies the breathtaking wonder, the Taj Mahal. My recent visit to this iconic city left me in awe of its unparalleled splendor and historical significance.
The Taj Mahal, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture, stands as a testament to love and devotion, its white marble facade glowing ethereally in the sunlight. As I wandered through its meticulously crafted gardens and gazed upon its majestic domes and minarets, I was overwhelmed by a sense of wonder and reverence.
But Agra's beauty extends far beyond the Taj Mahal. The Agra Fort, with its imposing red walls and intricate design, offers a glimpse into India's rich heritage and storied past. Exploring its labyrinthine corridors and opulent palaces was like stepping back in time, each stone whispering tales of emperors and empires.
And then there are the vibrant markets and bustling streets of Agra, where the city's vibrant culture comes to life. From the colorful bazaars filled with handicrafts and souvenirs to the aromatic food stalls serving up mouthwatering delicacies, every corner of Agra is a feast for the senses.
But perhaps what struck me most about Agra was the warmth and hospitality of its people. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and kindness, making me feel welcome and at home in this enchanting city.
In conclusion, Agra is not just a destination; it's an experience that leaves an indelible mark on the soul. Whether you're a history buff, a culture enthusiast, or simply someone in search of beauty and inspiration, Agra has something to offer everyone. I cannot recommend it highly enough – a true gem of India that deserves to be explored and celebrated.

It is very sad that such a beautiful and historic place is in such a bad condition. Dirty and stinking everywhere. People are not welcoming, everyone is dying to steal you, cheat you, fool you and take money out of you. No one cares about hospitality. I feel sorry for Taj Mahal and other beautiful historic building that they are in wrong hands.

With only one day available on a busy itinerary it had to be the Taj Mahal. Get up early and have a snack, then get to the ticket office for 6.15. (Gates open at 6.30) - at least they did in February.
If we'd had a bit more time, then Agra fort would have been worth a visit.
One place to relax is a small rooftop bar called Treat up the steepest, narrowest staircase ever. Great to watch the world go by with a cold beer and a wide selection of reasonably priced food.

The three classic monuments in and around Agra all lived up to expectations. Despite the fact that Taj Mahal is so well known from pictures, visiting it at sunrise still made an enormous impact. The Red Fort in Agra is also impressive, though it is by no means the only fort from that period in the area. Fatehpur Sikri (about an hour away from Agra) is definitely worth a visit, perhaps because it was conceived as a city and not just as a fort.

Agra is a beautiful city and there are many attractions in addition to the Taj Mahal. Because it is a serene and lovely city with wide roads and footpaths for easy walking, seeing some of the monuments and forts here can be more relaxed than in other busy cities.
Management of entry into the Taj Mahal and the Baby Taj and Agra Fort are easy and well organised.
There are lovely places to eat and unique parks like Selfie Point if you like pretty lights and photos.
A full two day or three day stay is time well spent here.
Looking for one night of relaxation in comfort amidst budget travel plans. The discount on the room through booking.com is why we selected it. It was perfect for a restorative evening after a 40degree day going around the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. We felt very refreshed after our stay.
Staff very attentive.
Beautiful room. Beautiful hotel
Dinner at restaurant was very good, and staff were patient when discussing a food allergy.
Laundry service has quick turnaround
My husband and I had an excellent visit here for two nights while we explored Agra! The hotel was flexible when we arrived late, and even prepared us a later than normal dinner while being very welcoming and upgrading our room at no charge. Comfortable quiet room, great breakfast, modern design while still celebrating the culture of the place. The location within walking distance to the Taj Mahal was a big bonus for an early start.
Very nice people run the hotel, very clean, in terms of hospitality you can't compare it with other similar budget places in India. Speaking well English. Very nice guys, friendly, also good second floor cafe where you can order various meals. They care about customers and have every day cleaning personal all day working inside.
It's near Taj Mahal, walking distance to a free shuttle to the temple itself.
Loved how comfortable the room was and how the hotel is located in a quiet area- an oasis in Agra. The staff were extremely helpful and on it with any request we had and the food was awesome! Lots of people say that Agra is a day tour. If you stay here, you will be happy to spend two to three nights really seeing what the area has to offer. Which is lots. Fetehpur Sikri is a must.
If you are ever looking for a Hostel in Agra.. especially near Taj Mahal..you can blindly choose Joey's...I found the reviews good and booked here. And my decision was good..these PPL were amazing ...the food..the room..the staff... obviously the view of Taj from the roof top restaurant area was also a Plus.
Just simply go for it...I highly recommend them.
Goyal Hoteliers is a hidden gem in Agra! Its prime location near the Taj Mahal, coupled with convenient parking, made it a standout choice. The 24-hour hot water and fully AC rooms added to the comfort. Kudos to the friendly staff for their excellent service and attention to safety. Will definitely be back
Very well maintained property. Rooms are spacious and services immaculate . Support staff were very courteous and the hotel made you feel like home. Overall a very good experience. The hotel is situated in a very good location at Agra making it accessible to CP and also very close to airport
If you are looking for a true historic hotel in Agra, vs. a faux-historic, this is the hotel for you. It's fairly simple - feel of an Old Word tourist hotel - and could probably use renovation (e.g. a nicer roof deck), but it's certainly solid as is.
Visited Agra with family and booked this hotel. Rahul ji was very courteous and helpful during our short stay. He helped us with local attractions and dropped us near Taj Mahal during early hours, when there were no cabs available.
Will recommend.
I was on vacation and happened to wind up in Agra. Our four-person family had a great time here for a week. Service, price, and warmth of the workers were all amazing. If you're heading to Agra, book a hotel here.
A good budget hotel to stay in the center of Agra, but in a quiet and peaceful area by Indian standards. Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms, attentive and positive staff.
The staff was nice and helpful, the hotel is 2 km far from Taj Mahal and 4 km far from Agra fort. Hotel is near main street, but is quiet in the rooms.
